Brink’s Turkey operates its CIT vehicles with a 3-man crew: a driver, a cashier, and a certifi ed armored guard. All vehicles have GPS systems that run on a Brink’s secure server to track and monitor vehicles in their designated routes and areas. The CIT vehicles are also equipped with GPRS vehicle security that features vehicle-tobase alarms and remote controls. Brink’s continuously seeks effi ciency and control through technology in operations. EDC is one way to achieve these effi ciencies. With EDC, Brink’s Turkey is the fi rst CIT company to accommodate customers who require electronic data transfer of daily orders and reports to and from CIT providers, and will be the fi rst CIT company in Turkey to provide automated banknote and coin processing services. Internally, EDC allows for better control of cash processing and CIT operations. Various modules capture mission-critical data and both receive and report daily work. It also gathers, stores, processes and reports cash process data, providing higher effi ciency and requiring less management and administrative time.
